Club Meetings, Workshops and

​ Field Trips

The Club holds regular, monthly meetings featuring a wide range of topics and formats. Meetings generally last for ca. 2 hours and consist of some combination of short talks by members, videos, geological news flashes, introductions to geological concepts or techniques, displays of specimens/photos etc,  structured or open discussions.

Meetings are usually held on the third Thursday of each month and take place in the Waimea Rooms at the Richmond A&P Grounds.

We also run occasional field excursions and workshops, and invited lectures. Field trips and workshops are usually held at the weekend and a car pool operates, starting at Warring Carpark, Richmond. Invited lectures are arranged according to the speaker's availability.
